Monitor contrast control

Question

I can't seem to find any info on changing the contrast on my Latitude D505. I know how to change the brightness level, but is there a way to change the contrast? The text and graphics on the monitor look kind of washed out and is hard on the eyes after working on the PC for hours. Henry

Hi again,

There is no adjustment other than brightness. Some keyboards had the arrows marked, but that was a legacy of prior to TFT displays.

There's no hardware contrast option, but you could go to the display properties and try to change some of the advanced contrast/brightness/gamma settings there.  It won't make a HUGE difference, but it might help.   Go to Start > Control Panel > Display Properties > Settings tab > Advanced button
