Mouse Pointer Speed Settings - External vs touchpad

I currently use an external USB mouse while at home. As of now each time I plug in at home I have to change the pointer speed to work best with the external mouse then when I unplug to go ont he road I have to change it back to work best with the touchpad. Is there a function so that it changes automaticly, or at least reduce the steps required to change it.

As far as I know, there isn't anything out there that changes the speed of the mouse automatically.

I never have this problem myself, and I do the same thing with my mouse. Maybe it's your mouse.

If you've got $10 lying around, go get yourself a Microsoft 3000 wireless USB mouse. Mice are the one thing that MS actually got right.

Thanks it could very well just be the mouse. Its a off brand USB wireless mini mouse.
