You can look at what processes are running at the time and taking up resources in the Task Manager. In Windows XP press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. In Vista press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC. Go to the processes tab and see which program is causing it. If it is not apparent what program it is, you can google the file name and see what comes up. :smileyhappy:
My computer constantly freezes, or slows down. I suspect its bittorrent. How can I check the problem, or get rid of it.
Since you suspect it's the bittorrent client, then obviously the easiest way to check if that's what's causing the problem, is to stop bittorrent client, to see if the problem disappears!? But I suppose you knew that as well, eh?
Stop!!! is not any of that. I have a XPS M1210 and just spend three weeks with dell support trying to fix the same problem and no luck. They replace my hard drive, my memory and last but not least my mother board. the tech. guy that came to my house to replace the mother board notice dust restricting the air bent not the intake but were the hot air is supose to bent out. your are not going to see it from out side the pc only when you open it. once he clena the bent.
to put it to you in a sample:
