Need help getting Logitech wireless mouse & keyboard to work with Pro 03x docking station.

I have a Latitude e7440 with a Logitech k750 wireless board and a Logitech wireless mouse. I'm using the Logitech Unifying software so I only have one USB plugged in for both pieces.   I just got a Dell Pro03x  E/Port Replicator Docking Station and I'm having trouble with the wireless mouse and keyboard.  If I dock the laptop, I can't use them whether I leave the USB plugged in on the laptop or if I move it to any of the USB ports on the docking station.  I'm using the docking station because I'm using to external monitors.

Ideally, I'd like to leave the USB plugged into the laptop since I tend to bring just the laptop and mouse into the living room. Ultimately I just want it to work, so if I have to unplug from the laptop and plug into the docking station I'll do that and hope I don't forget my USB when I leave with my laptop.

Any ideas or suggestions to make this work?
