Nvidia graphics hardware not found on computer.
I have an M17X R4. It's been working perfectly until now.
I installed Windows 8. My games slowed down considerably so I tried to install a driver for my Nvidia 660M. It said that I needed to install an Intel driver first. I installed the intel driver that was recomended on the dell website. Now when trying to install the graphics driver the message says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". When trying to open the NVIDIA control panel, it says "An NVIDIA graphics card was not detected in your system".
Any advice on where to go next would be appreciated. Please bear in mind that I'm not extremely computer savvy.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joem17xr4,
Please uninstall the Intel driver from programs and features and then reinstall the Intel driver. Please follow the steps to uninstall the driver.
Start > in search box type in programs and features > select the Intel driver right click on it and uninstall. Restart your computer.
You can also uninstall the Intel driver from device manager. Please follow the steps below.
Start > in search box type in device manager > under the video > select the Intel driver and right click on it and uninstall and check the box (delete the software for this device). Restart your computer and then update BIOS and Chipset driver. Please use the link to update the BIOS.

Please connect the Ac Adapter while updating the BIOS and do not use the system once the update is initiated and until the system restarts completely. Please use the link below to download the Chipset driver

Once you updated the BIOS and Chipset, you can go ahead and install the Intel and NVidia driver. Please use the link below.

I hope you find this useful.
