Power switch problems

Question

Power switch starting to have problem on a 1.5 yr. old 8600.  Have to roll all around on it to get it to make a connection and turn on the laptop.  Searched forum and found advice to 'reseat central hinge cover' and see if this cures it.  Read service manual and found this on the center control cover, no central hinge cover found.  Is this what I should pry up and then reseat?  Thanks for your help folks.  Jeff

Yes that is what you want to do.That should fix the problem.If not you might need to contact Dell Spare Parts and get a replacement hinge cover.You can also try eBay
