Re: Process1_Initialization_Failed Error

I have an older Inspiron 6000 and keep getting the above error message.  Technical Information:  STOP: 0x0000006B (0xc000000E, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).  I tried follow the directions on how to correct the problem, however when I get to the advanced options screen, repair computer is not listed.  Any suggestions as to how I correct the error?  Thank you.

I suggest running diagnostics first.  Start the system while running holding down FN or tapping F12 and choose diagnostics.  Allow the basic diags to complete and if you are given the option select hardware diagnostics, then choose custom tests and then hard drive tests.  Make sure that there isn't a hardware issue before working on software fixes.

If you get errors, with memory or the hard drive reseat them then run the test over again.  If the diags fail a second time you will likely have to replace parts.

If the diags pass with no errors then you may wish to consider reimaging the system. The following link has great info or restoring the system.
