Rust?!
I have the XPS m1530 and the metal plate cover thing is rusting. Its typically where I rest my wrists. All I want to know if there is a way I can remove it to clean it. I mean the rust is a little frustrating but if I could clean it I would be a little happier. And if I could remove the cover all the better as I could possibly make a vinal cover for it before putting it back on.

But seriously, if you're still under warranty I'd request a tech make an inspection - make them look inside too!
