Hardware / Software Laptop: Inspiron 15 3555, AMD A8-7410, Radeon R5 2.20 GHz, RAM 6.00 GB (4.93 GB usable), Dell Specifications Manufacturer's Warranty Status: Expired September 8, 2017 Operating System (OS): Windows 10, version 1709, build 16299.64, 64-bit OS Issue I keep experiencing my screen flickering / flashing with horizontal lines, the UI being distorted like broken glass, where the horizontal lines are the cracks. The lines tend to be a variety of colours, but are solid all the way across. They are often no wider than a few pixels each and the screen UI jumps around between the cracks. It starts and stops at irregular intervals. This is pretty close to what it looks like, but instead of what seems like black lines in this video, my experience is a variety of colours: Dell Inspiron 15 laptop screen flickering. I'll try and capture a screenshot or video next time it happens. What I Have Tried Ran a virus scan with Kaspersky just to rule it out I still experienced screen flickering / flashing issue Performed Inspiron 15 3555 Dell Diagnostics with the following categories selected. The all came back as 'passed': Monitor/Notebook LCD Notebook LCD Lid Video card Bluescreen analyzer I still experienced screen flickering / flashing issue Updated the graphics driver there was an updated driver I still experienced screen flickering / flashing issue Windows 10 update (was pushed to me recently, i.e. Microsoft's 'forced install') This is the version mentioned previously in the article (did not record previous version) Have not experienced issue yet, but it's too early to tell whether this fixed it What I Have Not Tried Changing my screen resolution, refresh rate, power settings, etc. These types of 'fixes' are some that I've come across which I highly doubt is the issue Checking display cable (condition / connection) Comfortable with doing this, haven't yet as use this personal laptop for work Replacing laptop display Comfortable with doing this, but hoping there is a free fix I can do myself Related Articles and Links Dell Inspiron 15 3555 Support Page Screen flicker with Dell Inspiron 15 7000

In the meantime, please following the steps in the link below to run Dell LCD Built-in Self Test (BIST) on the system. The test should help determine if the LCD (screen) of the computer is functioning normally.
