Does it have a label like the letter "P" or the letter "K" or something? If your system is still within warranty, you call tech support and they could just send you some screws.
The "P" labeled screw is for the palmrest. I think a screw would cost less than 50 cents. The warranty depends on what you purchased. All Dell systems have a standard 1 year warranty and you can extend the warranty to 4 more years.
Thank you for using the
Dell Community Forum. Your system is under warranty until 5/2004.
Go ahead and contact tech support to get the screws replaced.
The following part is what you need:
Part#.........Description:
904KR.........Screw-2.5X20-MB Subassembly into Base, Palmrest Assembly to base, Keyboard.

How long does the warranty last? I'm almost completely sure that it is now covered, though. But hey, I can be wrong.
I would like 2 "P" screws. I'm missing only one, so I need one; but if I were to purchase them I'd pay for 2 and keep 1 just in case.
