Studio 1555, Error Code 2000-0147
Hi There, I have been having problem with my Studio 1555. The windows is not loading, it kept restarting by while loading Windows, non stop. I tried to reload the OS with the CD provided when I purchased the laptop. However, it took years to get the screen loaded. I ran the diagnostic tools and it shows an error code 2000-0147. I read about about it and it says to reinstall the drvier for CD/DVD Rom. But I don't know how to do that without OS running in the laptop. Please help.

You need to replace the faulty optical drive.

where can i get the replacement?
when i tried to reload the OS, the system will take ages to bring me to the next page after i choose my option like which type of installation i want, could it be due to the faulty optical drive only? is there any other possible reason that can cause this? I need to recover back my files in one of the partition, the laptop stop functioning before i can back up the important data. is there any ways to do so?
