Super Loud Fan - New Inspiron 7373 2-in-1 13 (i7 8th gen)

I just received my new laptop.  I really love it except the fan noise is loud and obnoxious.  Can Dell please come up with a fix soon?  Otherwise, I will need to return it.

Other customers also began to report the problem in the Dell Review Page.  It's just a matter of time to get a lot more  complaints when more people adopt this product.

After installing latest BIOS version, I suggest you run the Guide Me option in your Dell Product Support page. The tool automatically detect driver updates for your system. Please follow instructions to run Guide Me option in the link below.

Any updates legoman128 ? I'm assuming you installed the latest BIOS version and the noise is reduced.

Thank you for the suggestion and follow-up LSUFAN51!  I updated the BIOS and it's much better.  Hopefully, it will stay that way!

I should have thought of updating BIOS.  Just didn't think that Dell would have already addressed the problem this soon when the product just came out!

BTW, I have Leonard Fournette on my fantasy team!  You guys are both helping me big time!

Thanks!!!

Glad to know the latest BIOS version help reduce the noise.  Thanks for the update.

By the way, Leonard Fournette is looking good thus far, too bad my LSU football team lost big time yesterday.  :emotion-6:

I just bought this laptop and there is a new bios update 1.4.0. We are assuming that bios 1.4.0 has all the enhancement from previous version like 1.3.0 right? Thanks!

Yes,  I find it's much safer to first update the older version. After installing BIOS version 1.3.0, I would test it by booting into windows and listen for any loud noise from the fan. Play a video, game or listen to some music. If the noise is to your satisfactory then I suggest installing version 1.4.0.
