Touchpad locks when using the keyboard both at the same time (bad for gaming)
To play many games on computers you need to be able to move using the arrows keys and look around using the touchpad. My Inspiron 15r SE (7520) does not allow this. For example, when I hold down the forward arrow key, the touchpad does not work and the cursor doesn't move. I have tried turning off palmtracking but this for some reason has not resolved the issue. I have also tried looking at the keyboard and mouse settings, such as ease of access. This feature was probably made so that accidently touchpad presses are ignored when typing... If you know how to turn this feature off, I would appreciate it greatly.

This has been bugging me for ages, finally found a solution.
Open the registry editor ( Start > Run > regedit ) and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\Elantech\OtherSetting
There are two keys to change, one called DisableWhenType_AllArea and one called DisableWhenType_Enable
They will both be set to "1", double click them and change them both to "0"
exit, restart and problem solved :)
