Trying to format my laptop
I am trying to format my laptop but I have such a bad virus that it will not even let me go to a command prompt in safe mode. It tells me the file is infected. Does anyone know a work around to get the command prompt?

Most Dells sold in recent years have a quick restore (CTRL-F11 at the Dell screen with XP or F8 before Windows loads with Vista/7. This will remove everything and restore the system to as-shipped.
Otherwise, you must boot the system from the WIndows CD or DVD (F12 at powerup, with the disc in the CD/DVD drive) to start the reload.
