unidentified network controller
I have a dell latitude d600 whose network controller is listed under other devices in the device manager. when i go to its properties it says manufacturer unknown. when i go to system information>problem devices it says "this device is not configured correctly". How do I get it configured correctly? Is there a driver I should have?
I went to pcidatabase.com, and the only matches are:
| 0x0600 | Storage RAID Controller | 0x8086 | Intel Corporation |
| 0x1043 | Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN Card Driver | 0x8086 | Intel Corporation |
| 0x2255 | 02\3 | 0x8086 | Intel Corporation |
| 0x27B8 | PCI\VEN_8086&_27B8&SUBSYS_8179DEV1043&REV_01\3&11583659&0&F8 | 0x8086 | Intel Corporation |
| 0x283A | ICH8 Enhanced USB2 Enhanced Host Controller | 0x8086 | Intel Corporation |
| 0x2929 | ICH9M/ME AHCI Controller |
What do I do with this information?
I can't connect to the internet until I get the network controller working.

You must install the Dell system software and chipset driver -- then install the Intel 2100 WLAN driver.
