Upgrade Memory Dell Inspiron i3147-3750sLV
Just purchased the Dell Inspiron i3147-3750sLV 2-in-1 Laptop which comes standard with 4GB SODIMM DDR3L 1333Mhz memory on board.
I would like to upgrade to an 8GB memory stick and was wondering:
1) Can this laptop support the 8GB? I have read reports of others accomplishing this, however, the specifications book for this particular product lists 4GB as the only configuration supported for memory.
2) Would the Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Notebook Memory CT102464BF160B work?

Crucial lists 4G max as well - 8 may or may not work, but it's not a supported configuration.

First go into dells website and look up your model no and check the cpu capabilitys.
Some times it will tell u what the cpu will handle for memory.
I know for my n5030 it will only let me put in a max of 4gb.

The technical specs did state that this laptop could only support 4GB of memory, so I guess that is my answer. Thanks.

I would sugesst if it 4 gb max then thats what go for otherwise u are wasting your money cause it won't recognize anything over 4gb.
I would also suggest if u want more memory either buy a new motherboard that can handle more or buy a new computer.
I will tell u from experience that I have 8gb max in my hp and I don't see any difference, but I don't play games or anything but just watch movies with it..
Just my opinion.

I agree, anything over the maximum supported, assuming it even works, wouldn't be useful anyway.
At this point I am going to keep it as-is. I don't really do anything that requires a great deal of effort.
