USB-C To Display Port Inspiron 15 7579
I'm a little confused. I want to connect my 7579 to a monitor using Display Port. In theory, I should be able to just plug in a DP cable to the USB-C port on the computer, but all the Dell specs say an adapter is needed. Could somebody please clarify what I need to do to move to this kind of connection?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this issue.

Thank you for reaching us here. You could use a direct USB Type-C to Display port cable to connect an external monitor. Or you could use an USB Type-C to Display port adapter like the one shown in the link here http://dell.to/2gjo8Kt.
