USB external microphone not working on 9360

Hi everyone.

Got this issue with my XPS 13 9360 - I've just bought new 373d headset from Sennheiser and am trying to connect it properly to my laptop. It seems that I have no problem on the output side of the headset, but my mic isn't working at all. You can see on the screenshot added, that the priority is set to the external device, but while touching my microphone on the laptop it still recognizes sound, while my headset mic doesn't hear a thing when I speak into it.

What have i tried:

restart, reinstall latest realtek drivers, trying to run Dell's support app, troubleshoot, check devices from BIOS Dell's utility. Everything seems fine. Disabling the integrated mic doesn't solve the issue as well.

Welcome to hear any ideas before returning the headset to the retailer.

Also I will be able to check the headset on another PC tomorrow to see if the mic is working there.

So in that Recording area, what happens if you right click both the Stereo Mix and Realtek Microphone, choose Disable. Does the Headset Microphone then function?

No, unfortunately it doesn't. The mic is dead in any scenario. It appears it is a headset technical failure, as it didn't work on another PC in the same manner.

Same problem here. See Mic but it won't work, and hardware works fine with other computers so it's not that

Same problem here, only my headset mic will work but my standing desk mic will not. Windows see it but it isn't functioning. Disabling the other mics does not help. Mic works fine on other machines so it's not the hardware.
