Using Restore Point
I went through the restore point process. I selected an old restore point. The system spent some time deleting temporary files. Then the computer screen went to black, but windows is still running and the mouse cursor will move, but there is nothing to click on. I tried powering off the system, but when I restart it goes no resuming windows and the black screen again. What can I do?

Hold the power button for 30 seconds so the system powers completely off. Then power up again, pressing F12 a few times. Go into the Dell diagnostics and run an extended system test.
If you require further help, please post the model number of the system.

The Model is an Inspiron 1525. I am running the test, but it has been gioing for over 2 hours and has not registered any failures. But, I think it should have completed sooner than this?

The testing has completed, but when I restart it says "resuming windows" and then screen is black except for the cursor
