vostro 1014 audio driver problem.
hi, i've been using vostro 1014 from the past 2yrs and i'm having problem with the audio driver. i've downloaded the audio driver of windows XP from this site R286583.exe and installed it in my laptop. still i'm unable to hear any sound. could anyone please suggest me which audio driver is meant for this model.

You have likely not installed the drivers in the correct order, see my guide a Clean install of Windows, start over and install the drivers in the correct order.
Audio problems on XP are common when they are not installed in the correct order.

That is true if XP was recently reinstalled. If it was not and the audio just stopped working then there is some other explanation. If you did not reinstall XP, try listening through headphones or external speakers. If you cannot hear audio through headphones then try using.System Restore.
