Where is BIOS password stored?
Can anyone tell me where the BIOS Setup and Admin passwords are stored on a Dell Latitude D830 laptop PC? I would assume they are on the BIOS chip since it is non-volatile, but would like to know for sure before I replace the BIOS chip on the motherboard. Problem of unknown BIOS setup password is posted in another post.

I am not sure how to close this POST, but my locked BIOS issue has been resolved. I flashed an older BIOS version, then used a BIOS Password Generator to create a password, and was able to unlock the BIOS. Then I flashed the current version of the BIOS, and now all is back to normal.

If you are unable to unlock the BIOS password then please help me with the Hint code, which will be seen on the BIOS screen. If you do not get the hint code, try entering an incorrect password once or twice and you will see the hint code.
