Windows Boot Manager
Laptop is an Inspiron N5010. I used dell data safe to restore to factory condition. I then began installing windows updates. When updates where done it wanted to be restarted so I said yes and it proceeded to shut down and come back up. The Dell logo screen comes up then it goes black and windows boot manager appears. It says a required device is inaccessible. I tried f2 and everything looks fine. I tried f12 and hard drive is listed as first boot priority. I tried f8 and only options are windows 7 ( which takes be back to boot manager) or Windows memory diagnostic which also takes me back to the windows boot manager. Any ideas? please.
PS: under f12 i found a diagnostics option so i ran that and everything passed.

Run the extended Hard Drive test in the diagnostics to see if the drive has failed. The quick test in the general diagnostics does not test the complete drive.

Thank you for your reply. I ran the diagnostic that comes up with f12, when it said all had passed so far and asked if i wished to continue I said yes to that also. Everything passed. How do i find this extended hard drive test?
