Wireless connection
My Inspiron M5030 is a great little budget laptop perfect for my use except one problem the wireless connectivity.
I can only get on the net in the same room as the router! My son and daughter both have laps from Acer and they can go anywhere in the house or garden so why can't I?
I have (today) downloaded the latest drivers and bios but still no joy. Any body help on this?

Is it under any warranty?
If its not under the warranty check the connectors for the arial built into the screen. You can usually find the wireless card under the keyboard or a panel on the bottom of the laptop. If it is not something simple like that it may need a new wireless card.

Yup its still under warranty might be an idea to have a word with them I think
