XPS m1330 CAPS Lock & Scroll Lock Blinking *NOT A MEMORY ISSUE*

I have a XPS m1330 that went out over a year ago (literally two weeks after warranty went out on it) and have been reluctant to fix it since I believe the mother board is the answer to this question but I just wanted confirmation from real experts.

When I power the laptop up, nothing pops up. I can't bring up the POST menu or anything. The CAPS lock and scroll lock just blink at me for about 30 seconds before it shuts itself down. I have tried multiple sticks of RAM and nothing. I normally took care of blowing dust out of it and taking the bottom out of the laptop to blow up in there so the laptop was never really badly dirty. I have tried it without the battery in it and it doesn't work. I've tried new hard drives as well and nothing. I had never gotten any BSOD's or had any problems with the laptop before either.

I'm pretty sure my next stop is a new motherboard but was hoping there might be a cheaper alternative to fixing this problem.
