Xps m1530 Build issues
Hi,
I have had my XPS m1530 for 2 weeks now and i noticed that panel that has the XPS logo in front of the keyboard is loose. I can press on it in the corner and it moves. Also it seems a little higher than the right side with the touch media buttons. Also my hinge on the left side doesnt have a gap but the right hinge has a gap. I had to remove the clear tape that is on the black panel above the keyboard because of an air bubble. Same with the dell logo on the side of my hinges. I feel like the quality of the build is low. I dont want to return it but i want it to be fixed. I was wondering if anybody else has these problems.

Call Dell XPS Tech support, explain exactly what's going on, and ask if they can send out a tech to replace the parts, since it was like that when you received it. They should be able to set it up. If they refuse, ask for a supervisor, and very calmly let them know what's going on, and that you'd just like the parts replaced. If it's a really new system, they should just set it up for the sake of making you (the customer) happy. If it's only 2 weeks old, you're still within the 21-day return period, and they should be willing to "make it right".

Hi,
I have chatted with tech support. They had told me first to remove the parts and then put them back in firmly and see if it solves the problem. If not then they will send out someone to replace the parts.
