D620 screen & shutdown delay
i) I have been issued a new D620 from my employer. The notebook is great other than the horrible screen. The screen almost has a grainy appearance and seems to be aweful looking at different angles. Trying to adjust the display properties do nothing really. I find the only way I can get a decent looking screen is to crank up the advanced color, contrast and vibrance settings. With those changed its a little better. For the cost of this notebook, I was expecting a much better screen. I wonder if Dell has a replacement/upgrade for this panels that might work a lot better.
ii) When shutting down my D620, (Windows XP SP2), I will hang for approx 5-8mins. I have tried different windows profiles to see if it was a profile issue and it was consistant with other profiles. Other users in the company have complained of the slow system shutdown with XP on this model as well. There was a suggested Microsoft fix for this but didn't do anything at all. Has anyone experienced any of these symptoms with their D620'?
