dell studio 1749 bios reset
Hi, I returned from windows 8 to windows 7 64 on my Dell Studio 1749 because i had a Hibernation problem.
Now the problem is not solved, i've the same in my windows 7 64 (when the laptop hibernate, it freeze). I think it is a bios error, and i want Reset it, but, if i try to reinstall the last bios, installation program does not work and report: "the last bios is already installed).

This is not a BIOS issue. Did you install the Intel chipset driver?

Hi Luca,
Welcome to the community.
I would like to inform you that older version of BIOS cannot be installed on the system. Please check the link below to update the chipset driver for the system:
ftp.dell.com/.../R248893.exe
Please let us know the model number for video card installed on the system.
Kindly perform these steps and let us know the results of the same so we can advise you further.

Thank you for your reply, but the problem is not solved again.
I do not want downgrade my bios, i only want to re-install the last bios, but i can't because installation program does not work and report: "the last bios is already installed".
I've ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5650; it mount last drivers available on dell's website www.dell.com/.../studio-1749.
I also tried last graphic drivers downloaded by AMD website, but the problem is the same.
Maybe frezees are caused by antivirus (kaspersky antivirus) firewall (comodo firewall) or dropbox.

There is nothing to be gained by reinstalling the same BIOS. This is a software problem - back up your data and do a factory OS reload. That should solve the problem.
