Error code 0f00:1332 block xxxxxxxxx:interrupt Request (IRQ) not sent in time.

Hi All,

I have a XPS 15 (L502X, Early 2011) Laptop. Which is freezing, throwing bluescreens, restarting and crashing my OS. I fixed it once by running chkdsk /f /r lots of fixes for several hours using the Repair DVD. But it continues to crash and reboot unexpectedly.

Running the Dell Diagnostics Custom Test->Hard Disk

I have below errors and tests are Failling.

Error Code 0F00:0232
Error Code 0F00:1332

Error code 0f00:1332 block xxxxxxxxx:Interrupt Request (IRQ) not sent in time.

Error code 0f00:1332 Interrupt Request (IRQ) not sent in time.

I have a 750GB 7500rpm SATA 3Gb/s Seagate HDD shipped with the Laptop. That is the expected life for the product.

Now lastly if my disk is about to die and I actually need to buy a new one ,which shall I go for.

750GB 7500rpm SATA 6Gb/s

1TB 5400rpm SATA 6GB/s

1TB 5400rpm SATA 3GB/s

IOPS really matter for me.

The hard drive needs to be replaced.  If performance is what you're after, go for a 2.5" solid state drive, not a conventional hard drive.

Expected life for drives depends on how you use it.

90 days is the basic warranty

extended warranty is 1 to 3 years.

There are only  3 makers of drives left in the world.  Western Digital, Seagate, and Toshiba.

Thanks for confirming that my HDD is almost dead :(.

SSD is out of my reach, just wanted to know, which will give me best IOPS out of the above 3.

Next best is a hybrid drive such as the Seagate solid state hybrid drives or the WD Black 2.
