Error reading/writing memory
Hello,
My xps 14z (l412z) can't boot in BIOS. When I press the power button I can hear it only beeping 4 times in a row and it does not start even BIOS. I checked in the internet and found that this can be issue related to the RAM or the DIMM slots. I opened the laptop and tried with only one of the memories, then with the other one, I changed their places and didn't succeeded.
I also tried the RAM plates on a different laptop and they work fine.
Since I am in a foreign country for 2 weeks I don't have time to leave it here for a repair, so I would like to hear from you some other ideas to try instead of waiting so much time for a specialist to see it.
P.S. If it is not the DIMM slots/RAM plates, I guess it should be faulty motherboard. Should I think about a new one? It is a shame that this computer surrendered just an year and a half after I bought it. I have never had BSOD's or any other problems with it.
Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,
We regret the inconvenience cause to you.
Thank you for troubleshooting the issue.
As you mentioned that you have tried turning on system with one memory stick at a time on different slots, still the system is not working, it can be an issue with the system board.
