kqrstechman:

You may want to try downloading and installing the latest audio driver available for your system from the Dell File Library. Just go to our website at the following address:

http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/index.asp

Insert your system's service tag in the text box labeled "Enter your Service Tag" and click the "Go" button. You will be given a list of files and drivers specific to your system. If you do not have your Service Tag available you can simply choose your Dell system model from one of the drop down menus.

I have the correct drivers. I get the error when Windows 98 installs the drives for the Maestro Wave/Wave Table Synthesis Devices.I have gone into Device Manager, Removed this component, rebooted and let Windows 98 reinstall the drivers for this component. It start to load the software for it, then i get the blue screen with a fatal exception error 06.

Approximately how recently did you first begin to experience this problem and do you remember making any hardware or software changes to your configuration directly previous to this first occurring?
