Help with IDT Audio Driver
I installed the Dell recommended IDT Driver from the Dell site and it caused a serious bootup problem and Microsoft detected it and bypassed it (I guess). At any rate, the audio still doesn't work. My OS is XP SP2 and laptop is Inspiron 1545. Please help me with getting my Audio working.
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Welcome to the forums Mike :emotion-21:
Are you absolutely sure you downloaded/installed the right audio driver?
Dell often provide a number of different files/driver sets, and for both XP and Vista, so it's important to double check you get the right one.
Can yo confirm it was the v6.10.0.6047, A00 drivers for XP - dated 4th February you downloaded/installed?
BTW: Why are you still running SP2, when XP SP3 has been available for years now?
It includes a number of important security 'fixes'/updates, so I'd strongly advise you to install it ASAP :emotion-55:
