problem after flashing, computer doesn`t start

Hi!

I need binary file for flashing my BIOS, but it isn`t on DELL`s web, so if you wanna help
me, follow next steps:

1. Make sure you have DELL Latitude Cpi Series notebook.

2. Download this utility for back up your BIOS

3. Make system diskette and extract files from downloaded uf136.zip file on this diskette.

4. Boot from system diskette, type uniflash and press ENTER to run Uniflash, choose
"Write backup BIOS image to file" option. Uniflash will make a binary *.bin file on
   diskette.

5. Send this binary file on my e-mail adress sponge1501@hotmail.com

Thank you my cyber hero!

Jano Mrkva,

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

Interesting, I hope it works for you.

Jano,
There are 3 versions of the CPi, the D, the A, and the R. You must specify which one you have, as the BIOS are completely different on all 3.

I`m sorry. It`s DELL Latitude CPi A. I called to DELL and operator said that all types of Latitude Cpi have got same BIOS. Is it true?

NO. The same company(Phoenix) but completely different versions for each. Whoever told you that is letting another part of their body talk for them in place of their mouth.
