Problems Undocking 600m

Question

I am unable to undock my 600m from the port replicator using either 'Start - Undock Computer' or undocking from the port replicator because it keeps telling me that my HP Scanjet is still accessing my computer.  So, I have to turn off my PC, undock, then turn it back on.    Any suggestions?

What OS of windows do you have installed on the system now?  Is it just the printer? If it is you can go to control panel and go to printers and just disable it then undock.

In Control Panel, there is no way to disable this device.

The exact pop up window I get - "You cannot eject your computer because one of the devices in the docking station, 'Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 5400C', cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it.

Any other suggestions??

This is due to the HP software that is running constantly monitoring the connection. You should either disable the software or check w. HP for another solution.
