problems when playing high end games

Whenever I play high end games like battlefield vietnam and games like that, I get many triangles all over the place and a lot the terrain is filled in with clear triangles. In some games like GTA Vice City, I get blue rectangles all over the screen. When I play these games my laptop gets pretty hot. Could this heat mess up the graphics card or is the graphics card just wearing down?

hmm, my graphics card is brand new and it does it to me sometimes. Are your settings mostly all the way down. Also, when it does the "clear" triangle thing in Battlefield Vietnam, does it only do it in single player mode? Cause it seems to only do that when Im playing against the computer. What kinda of memory card do you have? and how much RAM?

I also tried downloading the latest driver from omegas site, but it seemed to make my fps worse. So i went back to the older driver from the dell site and it seemed to be slightly better.

could be heat ... but if you happen to own an i5150(?) chances are it's a bad ATI m9 card

I do have a i5150 with an ATi m9. I'll probably try to get it changed then because two of my friends with the same graphics cards and laptops have the same problems as well.
