Touchpad driver and Microsoft Intellipoint?
Hi,
Not sure whether this is possible - on my Inspiron 8600 I had the proper Alps glide-point drivers installed, which gave me all sorts of extra features like a "scrollbar" area on the right-hand edge of the touchpad (excellent for navigating long documents in Word).
Just recently bought a Microsoft Intellimouse, which has some extra buttons, and comes with the Microsoft Intellipoint software to manage them. Of course, when I install the Intellipoint software it removes the Alps drivers and my touchpad loses the extra functionality.
Is there any way of having both the Intellipoint software to manage the extra buttons for that, and the Alps software to give me the extra touchpad features??
Thanks for any suggestions,
David.

D'oh. Sorry. Failed to read some of the previous posts on this topic.
If you install Intellipoint first, then just re-install the Alps drivers, all is right with the world, and I get all the custom property-sheet tabs for both the touchpad AND the mouse.
