The ones on the mouse pad and speakers can be using the Dell software provided. I don't think you can turn the lights off on the lid though i am afraid.
Yes, you may turn all the lights off including the keyboard. You can either double click on the QS icon(QuickSet) on the bottom toolbar near the clock or you can click on the start icon and type in quckset in the search. Once the program open up click on system then click on gaming options. This will bring up all the light settings except for the keyboard. You can click the box beside link all zones and then click turn all LEDs off. This will turn the speaker grills, touch pad, and touch pad keys off. Next click uncheck the box beside enable back panel wings and badge LEDs. Once you do this click apply and all your light should be turned off except for your keyboard. The shortcut way to turn the keyboard off would be to hold the Fn button (between ctrl and window key) and press the right arrow. This should turn the keyboard off and to turn the keyboard back on you would just simply be the same shortcut. Hope this helps you
When I contacted support, they noticed the same thing I was seeing and were as confused as I was. Apparently the CS left hand doesn't know what the engineering right hand is doing!
