Battery pack BMS reset after cell replacement
Hello Folks,
I've replaced the cells in the battery pack of my Latitude E5540 with brand-new high-quality Samsung cells.
However, the self-health-check reportes that the battery is degraded and has to be replaced. The laptop does not even start without the charger plugged in. I know for a matter of fact, that these cells are in excellent condition and properly wired.
How can I reset the BMS to get this thing working again? The usual trick did not work.

You'd need to replace the control board inside the battery. Since there are safety issues as well, it is far safer to simply replace the battery pack.
