Boot Failure

Hie Guys.So I have a Dell latitude E5450, when it came to my attention, the owner said she just closed it whilst typing and on powering it on later it gave the :"booting into OS failed after many trials...use installation disk..."

At first I just thought it was a simple system crash but whenever I tried advanced startup options it would freeze. I tried using ubuntu with the try on USB option it also just freezes same with windows 10 it just starts that dotted circle and frezees within the first cycle.

At one point the system locked me out such that it would not turn on at all, so I had to reset BIOS using CMOS, from the onwards the key during preboot has been erratic some times working then suddenly stopping, most of the times not working at all. same with touchpad in BIOS setup. The diagnostic tests throw a cable test failure. I thought maybe updating BIOS will do and I have updated it to A23 now...having tried A03 and A05 with the same behavior. I am not sure what to do anymore
