Changing ram issue

Question

Hello dell community

I have E7450 i7-5600u with two rams (4gb each)

I wanted to upgrade the ram to the max so i bought 2 stick 8gb ram each

But when i replace it the laptop didnt work, hdd led on and the display is black.

I didnt know what the wrong here, is it incompatible ?? Here is the spic of it

Old one: SK hynix 8gb 1Rx8 PCL - 12800s

New one: SK hynix 8gb 2Rx8 PCL - 12800s

Max RAM: 32GB

Moduls: 2

GB per Modul: 16GB

Organisation of Moduls: 2Gx64

Formfactor: 204pin SO-DIMM DDR3 - 1600MHz , Unbuffered, 1,35V

The RAM should work -- what happens if you try just one module at a time in each socket?  Will the system POST that way?
