Charger blink pattern
Laptop will not start with or without charger. When the power button is pressed it lights for about a second and goes off and the charge light blinks once. I suspect the charger but don't have another one that fits. It is putting out 19.6 and 4.5V measured with a meter but that is at no load.
I removed battery and held power button for 30 seconds, re-installed. No change.
Charge indicator blinks 1 second, 1/2 second, then about 1/8 second. Waits and repeats. Is there a list of blink patterns available.
Laptop has been powered off and power disconnected for 6 months.
Thanks,
JH

Thanks all. It turned out to be the power brick.

Latitude E6520.
Sorry, thought that was covered as it was required to create the post. But I see now it is not displayed.

In order to point you toward the meaning of the LED pattern, you will need to supply the system model - Latitude E5320, 7240, etc.

Not sure what happened to thread but some responses cannot be seen now, in particular the one about the battery slice.
Thanks but I do not have a slice. The pattern I am seeing is on the battery symbol LED and it does not match anything in this list.
Any further suggested actions?

Below are the LED codes.
Here's how to read the notebook LED codes when a possible error occurs:
