DELL 5404 Gpu Port

Question

I am an happy owner of a Dell 5404 Rugged (2014) and I recently found out there is the possibility of a dedicated GPU upgrade to my current system.

In the specs sheet it says there is supposed to be a Nvidia GeForce 720m, but I checked and nothing is installed in my Motherboard. I found online a replacement part for it, apparently is a Dell Card called 27Y72. Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/p/7031239504

My problem is I can't figure out what kind of port it uses and if I am stucked with this card only as possible upgrade or I can insert "newer" cards on it. This is a picture of the empty port in the motherboard:

Is it a mini PCIe, MXM or a proprietary slot used only by Dell, perhaps only on this model?

That's an antenna connector - not a GPU connector.

The models that ship with the GeForce GPU option use a different mainboard - there is no separate card; the chip is soldered to the system board. To upgrade from a UMA (Intel) to an nVidia (discrete) you would need to replace the system board with one having the nVidia option.

Usually, that also involves replacing the heatsink assembly (which is different) and if you have a 65W power adapter, replacing that with a 90W or better adapter.

There's no way to add a GPU to these - either the mainboard has the GPU or it doesn't.

Don't listen to the reply you are correct it is a gpu port I just did my dell 5404 you have to change the heat sink so the gpu can use the cpu heat sink to cool it down. I used a GMY39 (and radeon r7 m360 2gb ddr3 which has little bit better specs then the nvidia card) from eBay and a M6YDX heat sink.... It has to be this heat sink to make it work. And you will need a tube of heat sink compound.
