Dell Command Update Fails to update
I have a Dell latitude 7420 which is having some problems updgrading the current Dell COmmand Update app that gets pushed down viannGPO.
The current version that gets pushed down is V4.1.0 and works fine when trying to update drivers and firmware.
However, when i attempt to leave the "Dell Command Update" checked when checking for drivers it fails to upgrade DCU and instead causes the "Dell Management Service" to become disabled and thus causing DCU to not open until this service is started, but also isn't upgrading DCU to 4.2.1
any thoughts on what the error might be or how to fix? even if i try to install it manually from dells website it states the installer was interrupted and thus doesn't install.
I tried pulling the logs that are located here: C:\ProgramData\Dell\UpdateService\UpdatePackage\log

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

You might check to make sure that Bitlocker is NOT enabled and manually use DCU. I have gotten errors trying to use DCU with Bitlocker enabled. Also, your anti-virus protection may interfere with DCU.

yea that's what we have been following as well.
I am also trying to narrow down if it's because of GPO that's causing this issue.

I had the same issue. So, I uninstall the old version (which was 2.3.0) and install the new version 4.2.1.
This resolve the problem.

Any updates from this? I'm currently having issues with Dell Command | Update as well. When I try to check updates on one of our machines, this is what I get:
I honestly have never seen this before and cannot find any fixes online about this issue. I've tried uninstalling from its old version of 4.7.1 to 4.8.0 (as seen in picture.), and still get issues.

hi there, any update on this, i am facing this too with new installation of dcu 5 and updated version to dcu 5
after a reboot of the system dcu seems to download the updates in the backupground and install them. I need to verify this for a third PC, but have to wait till user restarts the system.
