Dell E5440 External Mic-In Option
When i plug external seprate microphone a popup window appears and it does not show mic in option
i only can see below options
Headphones,
Headset(with microphone),
Skullcandy headphones,
dell speaker out,
Skullcandy headset
Can someone hear who can help me.

Check your Windows registry. There's an value "DoNotShowJackSenseDialog" in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Waves Audio\MaxxAudio\General". If it is "0" the popup will be shown, if "1" not.
Or go to the MaxxAudio app and click on advanced to reset this option (see screenshots). This is a good example for bad UI design. But hey, it looks good?!
