Dell e6400 bios
I have a dell e6400 I'm having a small problem with I need the bios settings for it
What happened I went on vacation for a week came home turned it on laptop said password expired I did something in bois settings now it keeps trying to repair setup
I know bios but it's been so long since it got in settings I just need know how put correct settings in bios most YouTube video are to short and do more talking then helping at all can you help me please

Welcome to the Dell Community @Goneplumcrazy
In the BIOS go to:
System Configuration:
SATA Operation:
There you have 4 options:
Disable:
ATA:
AHCI:
IRRT:
You may need to try ATA, AHCI or IRRT.
Enable each one.
One at a time.
Save and Exit:
When the system tries to boot choose a "Normal" boot if it is an option.

I'd suggest you reset BIOS to defaults by following steps in link below. Hopefully it will make a difference.

Changing bios settings on sata whatever it was didn't fix my issue still need help please

Set the BIOS setting to "AHCI" and reinstall the OS.

Took pictures of my bios settings can anyone let me know correct settings for my dell e6400 laptop
I know I need to upgrade bios but not until it starts booting normal again
