Dell E7450 screen to touch screen replacement
Hello, I need some guidance on my laptop. I found my laptop’s screen have a black patch in left corner on the screen. I haven’t used my laptop for more than 4 months. Is it possible my LCD decided to die on me? Laptop is pretty old so idk if it happens to all laptops. I found out a touch screen model exists of the same models, so I was wondering is it possible to change the old non touch HD screen to touch FHD screen. As it’s the same model, would it work?

Anything is possible, but a screen diagnostic should tell you (hold D through powerup).
Swapping a non-touch to a touchscreen means replacing everything above the base unit (not just the screen, but the wiring harness, hinges, front and back cover, etc.).
The parts from a non-touch won't accommodate a touch panel and vice-versa.
