Dell Latitude 3420 – ADATA 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM Not Working Despite Official Specs Supporting 64 GB

Hi!

Looks like my previous post got deleted for some reason!

Anyways!

I have a Dell Latitude 3420 and tried upgrading the memory. According to Dell’s official specification page (https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/pt-br/latitude-14-3420-laptop/latitude_3420_ss/memory?guid=guid-e9d2ea83-38a4-431d-803c-96d63c1dbc34&lang=en-us), the laptop supports up to 64 GB DDR4 3200 MHz (2×32 GB).

I purchased this RAM module:

https://www.kabum.com.br/produto/277217/memoria-adata-32gb-3200mhz-ddr4-1-2v-para-notebook-ad4s320032g22-sgn

When I install one or two ADATA 32 GB sticks, the laptop fails to boot and does not reach POST. The modules are brand new, meet JEDEC DDR4 3200 MHz specs, and the system works fine with the original Dell RAM. Dell’s documentation does not mention any restriction against ADATA or 32 GB modules.

Looking for insights on why these modules won’t work and if there are known compatibility issues or BIOS limitations.

You'll have to as ADATA about that.  The system does support 2x32.

My experience with ADATA SSDs, flash drives and memory is that they sell on price - not as a result of rigorous quality control.  They're low priced in exchange for lower quality.
