Dell Latitude 5490 WWAN card install help
my dell 5490 did not come with a WWAN card, it has got a WWAN port which is free.
can some one tell me what are the compatible WWAN card for my laptop. is DW5811e compatible with my Dell latitude.
Do i have to install the wires on the WWAN card in the AUX and main slot, or can i just put the WWAN card in the laptop and it will work with a uk sim for date

Yes the DW5811e or the DW5816 is compatible.
Drivers are under Modem/communications.

Look where the card will be installed.
If there are no extra antenna wires then you will need to install them.
And that is not an easy task.

mine has an empty WWAN slot but it also has a sim card slot in the back. ive tried putting a valid sim card in but the computer doesnt have the software.. or do i need more hardware??
