dell latitude e6430 power ic
Hi all,
can anyone tell me how much a power ic would cost for dell latitude e6430?
recently i had a problem:whenever i connect power cable ,the led on the adapter itself used to turn off.So i gave it to a service centre.They said there was something wrong with poer ic and they have changed it.Can anyone pleaseeee tell me the price of the ic or how much it would cost to change it?

The chip itself is probably somewhere between $5-10.
Given the skilled soldering, likely $100+ in labor if you're in the US.

That's a bit like asking what the weather is going to be, without knowing where. Only you can identify the faulty part -- if it's damaged on visual inspection, or by testing using an oscilloscope and DVM.
You may also need to purchase a schematic for your system -- try www.laptop-schematics.com.
All of this assumes you have the required tools and expertise (a hot air station minimum) to replace a surface mount component. It's not a job you'll be doing with a handheld soldering iron.
