Dell Latitude E7470 Fingerprint Reader
After a lot of work I am unable to get the fingerprint reader on my E7470 to work. I have tried a number of options and am just unsure why it won't work. Every time I install the Control Vault driver I notice that its installing the driver without fingerprint reader. Is there something that I need to do to get the system to see the fingerprint reader or am I just doing something wrong? I have tried reinstalling windows in case the drivers are bugged but no go.

Has the reader ever worked and are you sure you have that option on the system? I ask because the specs mention nothing about the reader and there does not seem to be a specific driver for that reader.

I bought the laptop used on ebay and it didn't come with the fingerprint reader originally. I bought an additional palm rest with the reader as it should just be a drop in replacement. I believe the fingerprint reader is combined with the control vault drivers.
