No on M.2 - this system has no M.2 support.  It has a mini-PCIe slot, for which mSATA drives will fit, but it's highly unlikely an mSATA drive will work in the WWAN slot, and even if you CAN get the drive to work, it won't work as a boot device.

You likely stand a chance of getting a ZIF to mSATA adapter to work -- example:

Whatever you want to boot from will need to go into the 1.8" hard drive slot.  I think these have Express Card slots, but it's up in the air as to whether you can find an Express Card SSD that will work - and be able to boot the system.

Oh Thanks a lot for responding !! So if want to boot it again, do I have to purchase a 1.8 HHD or SSD or by luck any other option ? Really searched the web a lot . If I manage to run it again, do you think the system can run Windows 10 ? Are all the drivers available online ? Once again, I thank you

Windows 10 will work fine on it. I installed it on a XT that I bought used from eBay and then sold.

You can buy a brand new no-name brand 1.8" ZIF SSD on eBay from a seller in China for $50. The market for these types of SSDs are replacement for old IPods.

You can also try a mSATA SSD + the adapter ejn63 suggested. I don't think you will save much money with this option as the mSATA SSDs are also not in much demand either so the prices are not that competitive.

If you don't mind can you please share the information of the Xt Tablet PC you purchased like :

The SSD or the HHD in it.

A video or the photo of the XT running on Win 10 (IF YOU HAVE IT.)

Ram of the system.

If you can then please share it .

@DHJ Reddy

I bought the XT in October 2019 and sold it the same month at a loss.

When I bought it I did not realize that it had the odd ZIF connector. Ugh.

The XT came with 2 GB of RAM and a 40 GB hard drive.

All I did was install Windows 10 Home on it. Clean installation of v1909 which was the current version at the time.

No issues with drivers as I recall.  You can still use a Windows 7 Home key to activate Windows 10 Home.

@DHJ Reddy

I don't personally know any seller.

I buy my parts on eBay.

If you want SSD, you will be paying $56 + tax for a 64 GB SSD.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/64GB-KingSpec-1-8-inch-ZIF-40-pin-SSD-Solid-State-Disk-SMI-Controller-MLC/331796087717

Do you think I can use a  M.2 with a 1.8 Zif adapter for the XT?

Would it run well!

And Do you think I can spend around $50 for the new SDD cause I personally like the Tablet PC .Everything is good except the HDD.

What's your opinion on the XT? You have seen it running on Win 10 right ? If you share your thoughts U can purchase the SSD.

Look at the link ejn63 posted.  You need that type of board and a mSATA SSD. As I wrote before mSATA has also fallen out of favor. No laptops are using that form factor so price isn't competitive.  There is no guarantee that this combination will work.
